2-1-1 Special Needs Transportation Hotline
2-1-1 serves as an information and referral line for health and human services for Pierce, Thurston and Lewis counties. We help callers access resources for basic needs such as food, shelter, health care and transportation. 2-1-1 functions as an information clearinghouse and the entry point for community resources. Our Transportation Specialist strives to connect senior citizens, the disabled and other members of our community to the transportation services they need to access jobs, schools, medical appointments and run essential errands.
By dialing 2-1-1 (or (253) 572-4357 and 1 (800) 572-HELP), you can get connected with transportation resources such as transit agencies and public transportation, medical transportation providers, ferries, trip planning assistance, travel training programs, rural transportation options and volunteer driving for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The United Way of Pierce County 2-1-1 call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with 24-hour voice mail.
