Beyond the Borders
If you are a senior citizen (over age 65) and a resident of rural Pierce County, you are eligible for free transportation services. Beyond the Borders will pick you up at your home, and take you to your destination, or if your destination is within the area served by Pierce Transit, it will take you to the nearest bus stop. At the bus stop you can transfer to a fixed route bus or to the SHUTTLE, which provides ADA accessible rides.
Beyond the Borders helps older adults get to doctor or social services appointments, to the grocery store, and to other services and activities. The service is available seven (7) days a week . See our Rider’s Guide for more information.

Beyond the Borders provides trips to and from rural Pierce County. The service area includes: (map) Graham, South of 224th and east of Meridian, Kapowsin, McKenna, Roy, Eatonville, Ashford, Elbe, Orting, South Prairie, Buckley, Burnett, Carbonado and Wilkeson. |
Beyond the Borders connects riders with Pierce Transit fixed-route buses or the ADA accessible SHUTTLE. Riders may also connect with Sound Transit, King County Metro or Intercity Transit (from Roy and Yelm to Olympia).
Pierce County Community Services (PCCS) determines rider eligibility.

All rides must be requested at least 24 hours in advance, during regular business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 am to 5 pm). Call Paratransit at 1 (800) 651-6057 to reserve a ride.
